How to Prepare for Acne Scar Treatment

Avoid direct sun exposure or use factor 50+ sunscreen on the area for 4 weeks before treatment. Do not use sunbeds during this period.

Ensure the area is cleanly shaved 24 hours before laser treatment. Do not wax or pluck.

Avoid intense exfoliation, microdermabrasion, and chemical peels on the area for 1 week before treatment.

Avoid using any form of retinol or AHAs on the area for 3 days before treatment.

Do not take aspirin, ibuprofen, excessive alcohol, or other substances that affect blood clotting.

Avoid swimming in chlorinated water immediately before treatment.

Avoid tight-fitting clothing for your treatment session.

Hydrate the body by drinking plenty of water.
