What to Expect at Your Laser Nail Fungus Treatment Appointment

You will start with a free consultation. We will review the nail fungal infection and check for contra-indicators. This will be followed by a patch test.

You will experience discomforting heat sensations during the treatment. The sensation will be felt intermittently during the treatment. The treatment itself will last about 10 minutes but allow 30 minutes for the full session. The procedure is non-invasive, and you will be able to return to work the same day. 3 – 8 treatments are typically needed, each 2 – 4 weeks apart.

How to prepare for Laser Nail Fungus Treatment

Cut your nails as short as you can.
Scrape the discoloured surface of the nail and remove and debris.

Aftercare

Apply antifungal cream if advised by a medical professional.
Use antibacterial and antifungal bath soak in-between treatments.
Avoid damage to the nail.
Avoid cross contamination by taking measures such as throwing away old socks and footwear, avoid sharing towels and avoid walking barefoot in communal areas.
